Certificates
English as a Second Language
Do you have a desire to reach the nations with the gospel through teaching English? Judson College is now offering a way for college and seminary students to receive training through the Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).
What is TESL?
The TESL Certificate provides students with the basic requirements needed to teach English cross-culturally overseas or institutionally, including in community colleges and private schools within the United States. TESL is separate from any other degree programs and certificates offered at Southeastern and is not the same as the ESL license that public schools require of teachers. However, TESL Certificate credits earned at Southeastern can be transferred to another institution for students who desire to receive ESL Teacher Licensure. This certification offered at Southeastern meets the certificate program standards laid out by TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages).
